The Description
Our ‘Edward’ is a premium Calf Leather brogue, featuring Goodyear welted rubber soles for greater longevity and grip. Edward uses the ‘pennine’ last shape, and is available in a ‘g’ fitting. These men’s shoes are designed and engineered in Northamptonshire, England, and handmade in our high-grade factory in England.
Please note, these shoes come with a complementary pair of protective cloth bags valued at £5.00.
The Last
Pennine
Pennine is another Country last shape, but in G width, which is a wide fitting. It is a roomy last, designed to give the wearer extra space within the shoe. If you normally take a medium width in Loake shoes, you may find a half size reduction to be necessary in order to obtain the right fit.
The Style
Brogue
No English gentleman’s wardrobe is complete without a pair of handcrafted Goodyear welted brogues. With punched holes (originally designed to allow water to drain from the shoe), choose from a wide selection of Leather or Rubber-soled options in Oxford or Derby constructions, in a vast array of colours and styles.

A collection of classic styles crafted from high-quality, calf leathers and featuring the famous Goodyear Welted construction. Reflecting the traditional heritage of Loake dating back to 1880, many of our hand-finished, luxurious styles in this collection have become icons in their own right.
All 1880 Classic styles are made in our Northamptonshire factory, located in the heart of England.
