The Description
The Loake Fernsby is a premium men’s Derby shoe, crafted from rich pull-up waxy leather for a rugged yet refined character. Built on the Minster last, it offers a comfortable F fitting with a timeless Derby profile. Featuring Goodyear welted Dainite rubber soles, Fernsby provides excellent durability, grip, and the ability to be resoled, ensuring years of wear. This style is part of a special collaboration with Barbour, combining Loake’s traditional shoemaking expertise with Barbour’s heritage in British country style. Handmade in Loake’s high-grade Northamptonshire factory, Fernsby is a versatile and hard-wearing shoe, ideal for smart-casual dressing across all seasons.
Shoe Care:
- Shoes with a pull-up finish are produced with a blend of natural oils, greases, and waxes. This leather will continue to improve over time, with natural wear adding to its character. Massage with fingers to heat and distribute the oils, softening and smoothing any blemishes.
- The Loake Oiled Leather Wax can help revive and protect the shoe. We recommend a lighter application, as a little goes a long way.
We recommend using a shoehorn to help maintain the shape, prevent creasing of the heel, and allow the foot to glide in with ease – keeping your shoes looking their best and feeling comfortable from the first wear.
