The Description
The Loake Imperial is a premium pair of men’s shoes, styled as a classic penny loafer and crafted from distinctive dark brown grained calf leather for a refined, textured finish. Built on the traditional College last, it offers a comfortable F fitting and timeless loafer silhouette, making it a versatile option for both smart and casual wear. Featuring durable Goodyear welted rubber soles, Imperial provides excellent grip, long-lasting durability, and the option of resoling to extend its life. Designed and engineered in Northamptonshire, England, and handmade in our high-grade factory in England, it reflects the very best of British shoemaking. A sophisticated loafer that blends heritage craftsmanship with modern practicality.
We recommend using a shoehorn to help maintain the shape, prevent creasing of the heel, and allow the foot to glide in with ease – keeping your shoes looking their best and feeling comfortable from the first wear.
The Last
College
Loafer last shape, designed for use with slip on styles. The College last has a standard length toe, with a pointed round toe shape. This last generally runs true to size, although it is designed to fit snugly as befits a loafer style.
