The Description
The Loake Bedale is a premium brogue derby boot in dark brown calf leather, blending traditional style with rugged practicality. Built on the Pennine last, it offers a generous G fitting, making it ideal for those who prefer a wider fit. A bellowed tongue helps prevent water penetration at the lace area, enhancing durability in challenging conditions. Featuring a Goodyear welted Victory rubber sole, Bedale ensures excellent grip, longevity, and the option of resoling for extended wear. Designed and engineered in Kettering, Northamptonshire, and handmade in our high-grade factory in England, these men’s shoes showcase timeless British craftsmanship.
We recommend using a shoehorn to help maintain the shape, prevent creasing of the heel, and allow the foot to glide in with ease – keeping your shoes looking their best and feeling comfortable from the first wear.
Please note, these shoes come with a complementary pair of protective cloth bags.
The Last
Pennine
Pennine is another Country last shape, but in G width, which is a wide fitting. It is a roomy last, designed to give the wearer extra space within the shoe. If you normally take a medium width in Loake shoes, you may find a half size reduction to be necessary in order to obtain the right fit.
