The Description
The Loake Ryde is a premium dark brown waxy leather plain-tie men’s shoe, combining strength, durability, and timeless style. Built on the Castle last, it offers a comfortable F fitting with a classic shape, making it a versatile choice for both formal occasions and smart-casual wear. Featuring Goodyear welted rubber soles, Ryde delivers excellent grip, exceptional longevity, and the option of resoling, ensuring years of reliable performance. Designed and engineered in Kettering, Northamptonshire, and handmade in Loake’s high-grade factory in England, these men’s shoes embody the finest traditions of British craftsmanship, offering enduring quality, comfort, and understated sophistication.
We recommend using a shoehorn to help maintain the shape, prevent creasing of the heel, and allow the foot to glide in with ease – keeping your shoes looking their best and feeling comfortable from the first wear.
Please note, these shoes come with a complementary pair of protective cloth bags.
The Last

Offering a more tailored fit, Castle enhances the overall profile of the shoe while maintaining the comfort and craftsmanship Loake is known for. Ideal for those seeking a sleeker, more sophisticated shape without compromising on heritage quality.
