The Description
Our Hawthorn is a premium pair of men’s shoes crafted from supple dark brown suede, designed as a refined driving shoe for relaxed, everyday wear. The soft suede moulds naturally to the foot, offering a luxurious feel and flexible comfort. Moccasin construction allows the shoe to move naturally with the foot, enhancing ease of movement and all-day wearability. Built on our Contour rubber sole, it provides enhanced flexibility, reliable grip, and a stable underfoot feel ideal for confident wear. The durable rubber sole delivers excellent longevity and control, whether walking or driving. The hand-stitched apron highlights the artisan craftsmanship and adds a subtle, sophisticated finish to the sleek silhouette.
Built on the ‘Race’ last and available in an F fitting, Hawthorn offers a close-fitting yet supportive feel. Designed and engineered in Kettering, Northamptonshire, and handmade in our high-grade factory in India.
We recommend using a shoehorn to help maintain the shape, prevent creasing of the heel, and allow the foot to glide in with ease – keeping your shoes looking their best and feeling comfortable from the first wear.
The Last
Race
Our Race last is designed to complement relaxed, casual men’s shoes and is available in an F width fitting. Featuring a shorter profile with a subtly squared-off toe shape, it creates a clean yet laid-back silhouette. The balanced proportions offer a comfortable, supportive feel while maintaining a neat appearance. This last generally runs true to size, providing a dependable fit and everyday wearability in keeping with Loake’s commitment to quality craftsmanship and considered design.
