The Description
Our Ballantyne is a premium pair of men’s shoes crafted from cedar grain leather and tan suede, designed as a refined slip-on trainer for modern, everyday wear. The slip-on upper with elastic across the instep allows for easy pull-on wear while maintaining a clean, modern street-luxe aesthetic. A durable cemented rubber sole provides reliable grip, flexibility, and long-lasting performance. Underfoot, an Ortholite® footbed delivers instant step-in comfort, cushioning, and stability for all-day support.
Built on the ‘Trainer’ last and available in an F fitting, Ballantyne offers a sleek silhouette with a comfortable, supportive fit. Designed and engineered in Kettering, Northamptonshire, and handmade in our high-grade factory in India, these men’s shoes reflect Loake’s commitment to quality craftsmanship and contemporary design.
We recommend using a shoehorn to help maintain the shape, prevent creasing of the heel, and allow the foot to glide in with ease – keeping your shoes looking their best and feeling comfortable from the first wear.
The Last
Trainer
Developed for our new trainer styles the ‘Trainer’ last is a standard width fitting. Please note that unlike our other lasts ‘Trainer’ is sized in European sizes, ranging from size 40 through to size 47. Customers will need to select their EU size equivalent when ordering shoes on this last, please see our Size Guide for details. We would suggest ordering the equivalent of your normal Loake shoe size in this style.
