The Description
Our 523 is a premium pair of men’s shoes crafted from rich brown waxy leather, designed in a robust heavy-deck style for relaxed, everyday wear. The durable moccasin rubber sole provides excellent grip, flexibility, and long-lasting underfoot comfort. The moccasin construction naturally repels surface moisture while allowing the upper to flex easily with the movement of the foot. Square leather laces offer improved grip when wet, helping to maintain a secure knot even in damp conditions. Built on the ‘Sail’ last and available in an F fitting, the 523 delivers a generous, supportive fit with a casual silhouette.
Designed and engineered in Kettering, Northamptonshire, and handmade in our high-grade factory in India, these men’s shoes reflect Loake’s commitment to craftsmanship, durability, and timeless casual style.
We recommend using a shoehorn to help maintain the shape, prevent creasing of the heel, and allow the foot to glide in with ease – keeping your shoes looking their best and feeling comfortable from the first wear.

Designed specifically for men’s shoes in this category, it provides a comfortable, supportive fit while maintaining a neat, stylish appearance. Compared to Loake’s formal lasts, the sizing is slightly less generous, so many customers may prefer to try a half size larger for the best fit.
